If your car refuses to budge for whatever reason, we will provide you with a courtesy car to help get you back on the road as quickly as possible. The breakdown cover in your car insurance offers roadside assistance should your car and RV break down. You can purchase cover for Roadside Assistance NL, International Roadside Assistance or both.

How we help you when your car breaks down
All you have to do is call us to report the breakdown and we will help get you back on the road as quickly as possible. We provide:
- 24/7 roadside assistance
- Emergency repairs (up to €500)
- Chauffeur service if the driver is unable to drive due to illness or injury
- A courtesy car if your car cannot be repaired immediately
What is covered and what is not
The limited and comprehensive covers include coverage for:
- Roadside assistance for your car or hitched up RV
- Emergency repairs up to €500 if you are unable to drive your car or hitched up RV due to a breakdown
- Chauffeur service if the driver is unable to drive due to illness or injury
- A courtesy car if your car cannot be repaired on the spot
- If the wrong type of fuel is used
- If the fuel tank is empty

Add-on covers
If you would like to include additional cover options, choose an add-on such as passenger cover to ensure that you and your fellow passengers are also covered against injuries and losses sustained during an accident, for example. Or choose for other add-ons, such as legal or breakdown cover.

ABN AMRO Claims Service
You will not be required to pay an excess if your car is repaired by a body shop that we have chosen specifically for you. Only window replacement is subject to an excess of €75. There is always a body shop from the ABN AMRO network located near your place of residence. If you do not use the ABN AMRO Claims Service, you will be required to pay an excess of €150.

Are you unexpectedly standing on the side of the road? Or have you finally been able to get everyone and everything in the car but the car suddenly refuses to start? Very inconvenient, but with breakdown assistance coverage with your car insurance you will be on your way again in no time. Our roadside assistance is available 24/7. Report your damage by telephone and we will arrange assistance. If your car cannot be repaired immediately, you are entitled to replacement transport. With the Roadside Assistance cover, you will never be stationary for long.
Get a car insurance
You choose the start date of the add-on cover. Thus, it can start immediately.
If your car breaks down, call us immediately on 026 - 400 23 45 or, if you are calling from outside the Netherlands, on +31 26 400 23 45. These numbers are available 24/7. You are entitled to receive assistance only if you call us first. We will arrange the assistance for you.
Breaking down is always an unwelcome and frustrating experience, but especially so when you are abroad. With the international roadside assistance add-on cover, you are assured of assistance whenever you need it. For example, we will arrange for chauffeur service if the driver is unable to drive due to illness or injury. And if no other passenger is allowed to drive the car. Moreover, you will receive a courtesy car for up to 15 business days if your car takes longer than 24 hours to repair (excluding fuel).
You can choose either Roadside Assistance NL or International Roadside Assistance. The assistance that will be provided depends on the cover you have purchased.
If your policy states that you have International Roadside Assistance cover, your insurance will cover roadside assistance in case your car or RV breaks down in another country. Please note: transport of your car or RV to your home in the Netherlands will only be covered if repairs take longer than 4 business days.
Roadside and at home assistance are provided. For example, in case of a dead battery, flat tyre, filling up with the wrong type of fuel or if your car has incurred damage as a result of an accident. A mechanic will always try to carry out an emergency repair so that you can get back on the road quickly. If this is not possible, you are entitled to a courtesy car.
Roadside assistance can be insured along with the limited, comprehensive policy and third-party liability insurance.
