Taylor Swift played a rarely-performed surprise song while giving a sweet nod to Liverpool last night at Anfield.

Last night in the city, more than 50,000 fans buzzed with excitement as they entered the stadium wearing sequinned dresses, glittery face paint, denim jackets and pink cowboy hats. June 13 marked Taylor's first night in Liverpool, and also the 100th Eras Tour show since it began in 2023.

Taylor always does something to make fans feel special, and last night's show was no different. Amid rife speculation that she could be making an announcement, Taylor paid tribute to Liverpool when she made a sweet nod to the city with her surprise songs.

During the acoustic set, Taylor treated fans to a mash up of I Can See You with Mine, and then a second mash up with Cornelia Street with Maroon.

Speaking about singing I Can See You, Taylor told the crowds: "Last time I was in Liverpool, I was shooting a music video." The music video features actors Joey King and Taylor's ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner, along with writer and musician Presley Cash, who work together in the video to free Taylor Swift from a vault.

The video was shot last year in Liverpool, with the exterior of the Cunard Building apparent in the music video. Meanwhile, the interior was filmed in the old NatWest on Castle Street, which is soon to host a new Elif restaurant

I Can See You has already been part of The Eras Tour, with Taylor premiering the music video to fans at a show in Kansas City when she brought Taylor Lautner, Joey King and Presley Cash on stage to celebrate and commemorate the moment last summer.

This comes after we reported that some Swifties didn't get to see her entire concert in full when a Mirror reporter witnessed three girls being escorted out of the stadium by security last night in Liverpool. A reporter from The Mirror observed nine security guards walking three girls out of Taylor's concert last night at the Blank Space singer's 100th Eras Tour performance.

The three women appeared to have had too much to drink, according to our reporter who attended the gig.
