I actually laughed out loud when I read this. Absolute gold, Shaun Henry. Thanks bringing some humour to this issue!B2B, automized COLD outreach is out of control. I've been in a new role now for four weeks and my inbox is blowing up with email sequences (mostly from companies in highly saturated tech markets). It's the new ‘cold calling’ but instead of someone following up every couple of months, it's daily…and there's no real human connection. My email is pulled from a database (most likely a paid one). Nothing is known about me other than I'm a main contact at a reputable company. It's a numbers game.Unpopular opinion: I believe sequences should be reserved for one purpose:Email SUBSCRIBERS - those who have actively AGREED to receive your information!Building trust RARELY starts with cold outreach. In a digital world, information is at our fingertips. If I'm in need of a product solution (talking tech here), I'm doing my research first. I'm reading ‘The best software for [insert pain point]’. I'm checking out reviews. I'm hitting up Reddit. I want to hear from people who’ve used the product. I don't want e-mail after (increasingly aggressive) e-mail from a sales bot. Here’s where smart companies shine (IMO)…While I'm doing my dugilligence, I'm leaving tracks all over the web for both the companies I'm researching AND their competitors. Smart companies are then capitalizing on my website visits and providing me with RELEVANT ads - mostly via social channels or google ads. They stay in front of me, without blowing up my inbox. They warm me up - offer a trial. Maybe I jump on the trial…which, guess what happens…They get my email and add me to a sequence! A sequence that I have actively opted into. And it's not a pushy sales sequence. The sequence is usually highly relevant and HELPFUL. The sales push will come after. Too many companies are slipping the most important step: building trust.

"Follow up, purely like a pro!"This is how you should write winning follow-up emails in a structured format:🎯Subject line: The purpose of the email should be clear which increases the chances of the recruiter opening your mail. One needs to keep the subject line formal and concise.for ex: “Following up on our last conversation” OR“Thankyou for your time this morning/evening.”🎯Introduction: Highlight the name of the person and thank them for taking out time. Make them feel valued. Using “Dear Sir, ma’am” makes it look very generic.🎯Body: One needs to emphasise on the subject line here, what’s the reason behind following up.for ex: Hi, XYZ.Hope you’re doing well. I’m writing this mail to follow up on our last conversation/previous mail. Could you please confirm if I was able to gey through?🎯Closing line: Always end the mail on a positive note with CTA (call to action).for ex: Thanks for your valuable time. Let me know if there’s anything else that you’d require from my side.Let’s stay in touch :)

Structure a cold email for a jobIt's important to use an organized strategy when preparing a cold email to a potential employer to grab their attention and convey your qualifications and interest. In your email, I'll give you a thorough rundown of what should go where.◍ Choose the appropriate person to contact: Finding the correct contact person is the first step. This can be a member of the hiring team, a recruiter, or a staff member from the division you're interested in. You may get this information by browsing LinkedIn or the company website.◍ Create a strong subject line first: Start with a short, catchy subject line that expresses your aim clearly. It needs to be compelling, pertinent, and specific.◍ Introduction: Introduce yourself and briefly describe how you came about the business or job opportunity in the first paragraph. Including a recommendation, a particular job posting, or a recent success of the organization that drew your notice are examples of how to do this. Become acquainted with the organization and demonstrate your sincere interest in it.◍ Core Value Statement: Explain your special selling points and how they fit the job's needs clearly and simply. Draw attention to your accomplishments, experiences, and talents important to the position. To show your abilities and how you can help the company succeed, use concrete examples.◍ Value for the Company: Explain how you can add value by proving your awareness of the company's difficulties or ambitions. Choose a few areas where you may have an impact and help the company become more effective or grow. Stress the advantages of hiring you and how your abilities can meet their needs.◍ Call to Action: Tell the recipient exactly what action you want them to take. This can entail requesting a meeting, phone call, or additional conversation. By including your contact information and availability, you can make it simple for the receiver to reply.◍ Gratitude and Closing: Thank the person for their thoughtfulness and time. Your full name and contact information should come after a formal ending, such as "Thank you for your attention" or "Best regards," in the email.Note: Introduction and Conclusion These parts cannot in any way be extended. The person who reads the mail gets irritated by this. Thus, it is necessary to write the introduction and conclusion that’s why keep it short as possible◍ Proofread your email: Make sure to proofread your email for any grammar or spelling mistakes before pressing the submit button. Some Additional suggestions for creating a cold email for a job⦾ Do not use cliches or trendy terms.⦾ Get to the point quickly⦾ Before submitting your email, thoroughly proofread it.⦾ You can use Semoauto for cold email & hope it helps you to create a cold email for a jobYou can use Semoauto for cold email & hope it helps you to create a cold email for a job

The follow-up email is like the last puzzle piece. The first: you apply. The second: you wait. You wait patiently.Check your email inbox hundreds of times a day.Three days later, you tell yourself: “they’re busy.”A week later, you tell yourself: “they’ll circle back.”Another week later, you tell yourself: “they must not like me.”And it goes on...But, it doesn't have to.Here's the trick:Don't follow-up. Follow-through. Think about it: If you were the one managing countless emails, which one would you rather see?"Hey, I just wanted to touch base..."OR"Hey! I hope you're doing great. I was thinking about the job role and wanted to share a little more about how I can add value."That's how you follow through. It's not some 'strategy' you can copy-paste. It’s about taking the time to share your value, with the intention of helping - not asking for help. Now, it's time to “follow-through” on that job application you submitted.

Email sign-offs, lets discuss...What does everyone use? What have they seen on the bottom of other peoples emails? How formal should they be?Should they show some personality? What would make you respond (or not)?I think our personalities should come out in our professional communications, however there is an element of 'playing it safe' and keeping it professional, especially when forming new relationships.Thoughts?https://lnkd.in/ePHE_AgW

📛 This is why your cold emails don't get any response + how to get it rightRight out of the box... What is the goal of cold email?➼ establish your value➼ book a meeting➼ close a saleIf your answer is any of the above, stop asking why your cold outreach doesn't work. You have your answer already.Think about it... if it was you receiving that email, would you respond to you?----------------------------------------------------------------Here's a no-fail approach to getting your cold emails to work;Solicit a replyJoshua Garrison from Apollo.io points this out brilliantly...As a CTA (Call to Action) ask your reader a question that's easy to answer.Rather than;❌ Let me know if you're interested...❌ Looking forward to hearing from you...❌ Let me know your thoughts...Use this instead;✅ Are you looking for 'X' right now?✅ Is 'Y' something you're interested in right now? From a young age, we're conditioned it's rude not to respond to a question. And a response of 'Yes', 'No', or 'Maybe' is all you need to get the ball rolling or move on!Get a +ve response? move up the conversation (link to relevant resources, schedule a meeting, etc.)Get a -ve response? ask if it's okay to reach out 6mos later or so... if yes, great. If not, leave them alone and move on to the next_____________________________________________________P.S. -- Do you have a unique niche you'd like to boost your open, response, and click-through rates in your emails, but nothing else is working because your niche is different from others?I know the feeling...Got an idea for you______________________________________________________#emailmarketing #emailcopywriter #copywriting #salesstrategy #digitalmarketing #contentmarketing #b2bmarketing #marketingstrategy #brandawareness #leadgeneration #marketingautomation #customerexperience
